hoi an
Explore the colorful and historic city.
Immerse yourself in the timeless charm of Hoi An, one of Vietnam’s most picturesque and historic cities. Located on the central coast, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a combination of culture, cuisine and tranquil beauty that will entice any visitor.
With its well-preserved old town full of winding alleys, traditional houses and graceful bridges, Hoi An seems to be a living museum where you travel back to a bygone era. By day, the yellow walls of the houses glisten in the sunlight, while at night they are illuminated by the soft glow of colorful lanterns adorning the streets. Stroll along the banks of the Thu Bon River and see the iconic Japanese covered bridge, a symbol of the city and a testament to the historical influence of foreign traders. Visit the many craft workshops where local artisans demonstrate their skills in silk, ceramics and woodworking.
Hoi An’s cuisine is as enchanting as its architecture. Don’t miss the chance to taste traditional dishes such as “Cao Lau,” “Banh Bao Banh Vac” (white rose) and “Mi Quang.” These culinary delights reflect the city’s rich flavor and heritage. For beach lovers, the tranquil An Bang beach is just a short distance from the city, perfect for a relaxing afternoon by the sea. And if you’re looking for tailoring, Hoi An is famous for its numerous tailors who create beautiful custom-made clothes in record time. We’ve visited the Tailory.
