Thailand 🇹🇭
Thailand, the country that offers you both tranquility and adventure, instantly draws you into its vibrant atmosphere. From the bustling streets of Bangkok to the serene islands in the Andaman Sea, this country in Southeast Asia continues to surprise with its rich history, colorful culture and breathtaking landscapes. As soon as you arrive here, you feel the warm hospitality-the famous Thai smile that appears everywhere in your path. Thailand’s diversity is what makes it so fascinating. The culture is a fascinating mix of indigenous Thai traditions and influences from neighboring countries, visible in architecture, art and especially cuisine. Walking through the ancient city of Ayutthaya, with its impressive ruins and stupas, you can feel the history all around you. In Chiang Mai, surrounded by mountains and full of ancient temples such as Wat Phra Singh and Doi Suthep, you will experience the spiritual side of Thailand. The city really comes alive at night, with night markets where you can wander among local crafts, street food and musical performances.
Enjoy beautiful nature
Thailand’s natural beauty is as diverse as its culture. In the north, green mountains stretch out, with misty peaks and vast jungles where you can watch elephants bathe in rivers and visit villages that have maintained their traditional lifestyle for generations. Trek through the mountainous trails of Pai or visit lesser-known natural areas such as Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest point. Heading south, the mountains turn into palm trees and golden beaches. Islands like Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta offer crystal clear waters and colorful coral reefs perfect for snorkeling and diving. Nothing feels better than ending a day with a Thai massage on the beach, followed by a dinner of fresh seafood as the sun slowly sets.
Thai cuisine is a feast for the senses. Each meal is a balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy, and even the simplest dishes are packed with flavor. Taste the spicy tom yum soup or enjoy a plate of pad Thai at a local street vendor, and you’ll immediately understand why the food here is world-famous. In the northeast, the Isaan region, lesser-known dishes such as som tam (spicy papaya salad) and laap (spicy minced meat) await to challenge and surprise your taste buds.

Thailand has a tropical climate and can be visited year-round. However, the best time to go depends on the region you are visiting. In general, the months of November to February are most ideal because of cooler temperatures and minimal rainfall. The rainy season runs from May to October, but don’t let this discourage you, as the rain often falls in short, heavy showers and turns the landscape beautifully green.
Public transportation in Thailand is very diverse. In cities such as Bangkok, you can use the BTS Skytrain, the MRT subway, tuktuks, and cabs. For longer distances, there are numerous options, including buses, trains, and domestic flights. Services such as Grab and 12go.asia are also available for a convenient travel experience.
Thai cuisine is known worldwide and offers a mix of sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavors. Try Pad Thai, a national dish, or enjoy fresh seafood on one of the many beautiful beaches. Don’t miss the sweet treats like Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Tea!
The most important holiday in Thailand is Songkran, the Thai New Year, celebrated with water fights in April. Other important holidays include Loi Krathong (November), in which people launch small boats carrying candles and incense into rivers, and the king’s birthday (July 28). Transportation and accommodations can be busier around these holidays, so it is advisable to plan in advance.
